Meet The 5 Year Old Who Changed The World

He’s only five in this picture, but he changed the entire world as we know it.

Meet Franklin Delano Roosevelt, age 5 and completely unaware that his name would be etched into history for all eternity.

This picture of Roosevelt was taken in January of 1887, 5 years after his birth on January 30, 1882.

50 years after this photo shoot, Roosevelt would be elected to the first of four terms as President of the United States. In that time he led the country against the crippling economics of the Great Depression, and in war against Germany, Japan and Italy in World War II.

Roosevelt served as America’s 32nd President from 1933-1945. He was a Democrat.
