Mallory Hytes Hagan (PHOTOS) – Miss New York Crowned Miss America
Mallory Hytes Hagan has been selected as Miss America 2013.
Mallory Hytes Hagan, Miss New York, was chosen at the Miss America ceremony in Las Vegas. Hagan, 23, is from Brooklyn. Her talent during the competition was tap-dancing.
Hagan will receive a $50,000 scholarship for winning the competition.
In the competition’s question and answer segment, Hagan opposed the policy promoted by the NRA of putting armed guards outside of schools. “I actually don’t think the proper way to fight violence is with violence,” she said.
