Sean Hannity is discussing secession in order to push back on advances made by President Obama and the Democrats.

Speaking on his radio show on Friday, the host of Fox News’ 9pm show discussed the possibility that states could break away from the United States in reaction to Obama.

Hannity blamed “radicalized abusive federal government” for recent conservative talk about seceding from the union.

The Obama administration recently shot down a right-wing petition discussing secession.

When the southern states seceded from the United States, it prompted the Civil War in which hundreds of thousands of American lives were lost. The south lost to Union forces led by President Abraham Lincoln, who, like President Obama, came from Illinois.
