Vice Den: Palms Casino Secured Prostitutes & Drugs For Customers, Fined $1 Million
The Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas played a role in securing prostitutes and drugs for customers.
The parent company of the 653-room Vegas resort has been fined $1 million for repeated infractions. According to a report from the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the Palms failed to prevent several illegal transactions.
A Palms employee attempted to hire prostitutes for an undercover agent and offered cocaine for sale. Another Palms employee offered agents ecstasy, the painkillers oxycodone, and cocaine.
The casino opened in 2001 and is home to one of the most expensive hotel rooms in the world, the the Two Story Sky Villa, which costs over $35,000 per night.
