A pro-gun group held a simulation of a school shooting just about 30 miles away from Newtown, CT.

The group, King 33 Training, held the event at its Southington, CT headquarters. Chris Fields, who hosted the exercise, told a local NBC station that “We’re obviously vulnerable walking around.”

The exercise was supposedly designed to assess the feasibility of arming teachers and other officials in schools, a position supported by the NRA. Others, including the National Education Association, oppose such proposals and consider them impractical and unsafe.
