Mitt Romney has been rebuked a second time by the family of a victim of the Benghazi consulate attack for using the event for political gain.
Jan Stevens, the 77 year old grieving father of Ambassador Chris Stevens, told Bloomberg News that “it would be abhorrent” to turn his son’s death into a campaign issue.
Steven’s comments follow those of Barbara Doherty, the mother of Navy SEAL Glen Doherty who told Romney that “it’s wrong to use these brave young men, who wanted freedom for all, to degrade Obama.”
The Romney campaign has made frequent references to the attack as it looks for a foreign policy weapon to attack the Obama administration with.
President Obama has promised a full investigation into the attack and has promised to bring the perpetrators to justice.
