Shailene Woodley In Talks To Play Mary Jane Watson In Amazing Spider-Man 2
Shailene Woodley is in talks with producers to play Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Woodley’s series on ABC, The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, recently announced that it would soon be wrapping up production. Woodley’s role in The Descendants with George Clooney got her a Golden Globe nomination.
Andrew Garfield has already signed on to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the sequel, and director Marc Webb will be back on board as well. Emma Stone, who played Gwen Stacy, has not yet joined the follow-up.
In the Spider-Man comics, redheaded Mary Jane becomes the love of Peter Parker’s life, after the tragic death of Gwen Stacy.
Electro is rumored to be the villain in the sequel.
