WWE Fires Diva Kelly Kelly

WWE Diva Kelly Kelly has been fired.

In an announcement on its website, WWE stated the following: “WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Kelly Kelly as of today, September 28, 2012. WWE wishes Kelly Kelly the best in all her future endeavors.”

On her Twitter account, Kelly Kelly noted: “Had an amazing 6 years with WWE made great friends and have the most loyal and amazing fans in the world thanks for the never ending support.”

Kelly Kelly started with WWE in 2006, appearing in the role of an exhibitionist on the now-defunct ECW. She eventually made the switch to WWE and appeared as a WWE Diva on WWE Raw.

In June of 2011, Kelly Kelly won the WWE Divas Championship, later losing it to Beth Phoenix.
