PHOTOS: Virginia Republicans Proudly Post Racist Photos Of Obama

An official affiliate of the Virginia Republican party has stirred controversy by posting offensive photos of President Obama.

The photos on the Mecklenburg County Republican Party’s Facebook page depict Obama as a caveman, witch doctor and a thug. Other images push the already debunked birther conspiracy theory that Obama was not born in the United States.

The main Virginia Republican party has reportedly asked their affiliate to remove the photos, but R. Wallace “Wally” Hudson, the chairman of the committee, told the Washington Post that he believed Democrats were simply playing the race card in complaining about the pictures.

This isn’t the Virginia Republican party’s first brush with a racist incident like this. Former Senator George Allen — who recently had a luncheon with the affiliate in question — lost his 2006 re-election campaign after he used the word “macaca” to describe an employee of a rival campaign who was tracking him on the campaign trail.
