British women are signing and promoting a petition to kill off the Sun newspaper’s infamous “Page 3″ pinups.
The petition, circulated on the site Change.org, has attracted nearly 13,000 signatures.
It asks the Rupert Murdoch owned newspaper , “stop conditioning your readers to view women as sex objects.”
Page 3 has been a staple of the Sun newspaper since 1970 and has been the launching pad for several British celebrities, including Katie Price, Samantha Fox, Jodie Marsh, Keeley Hazell, and Lucy Pinder.
