Mary Gowans: Accused Sex Teacher Denies Charge In Court

Mary Gowans, the 42 year old Canadian teacher accused of having an affair with a student, denied the charge in court today.

Gowans, testifying in Ontario Superior Court, denied that she engaged in sexual touching with a 15 year old student. The student made the charge in court on Wednesday.

The student accused Gowans of exposing her breasts as she straddled him on a couch, then kissing him.

In court, Gowans said she had a standard relationship with him, claiming that “I was friendly with all the students. He was friendly with me.”

A representative from the telephone company testified that Gowans and the teen exchanged 2,218 text messages in under a year.
