Taylor Swift Has Hottest Country Song In 32 Years

Taylor Swift has the hottest thing in country music in 32 years.

Her hit single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is at number one on the Hot 100 chart, the longest a country song has done so since 1980.

The last time a country song held that spot was Kenny Rogers’ “Lady,” which held the lead for six weeks.

A woman hasn’t held that top spot since Debby Boone’s “You Light Up My Life” in 1977.
