Mitt RomneyMitt Romney’s failing presidential campaign may have hit a new low.

In the wake of the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens in Libya, Romney held a hastily put together press conference in which he attacked President Obama.

Rather than present a unified front after the death of an American diplomat, Romney chose to engage in partisan politics in an apparent attempt to shore up his sagging poll numbers.

Romney also lied and said that the Obama administration had apologized to the Libyan rioters, when in fact Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blasted the violence.

Other top Republicans backed the Obama administration in their public statements, and did not appear to engage in the same sort of partisan political statements as Romney did.
