Britney Spears Embraces Mean Girl Role On X-Factor

Britney Spears doesn’t care if you think her judging on the new X-Factor is mean.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Spears defended her snap judgement of aspiring contestants: “I used constructive criticism.” Pointing to the sharp-tongued Simon Cowell, Spears says she “learned from the best.”

Cowell said, “I’ve never heard someone say no so quickly in my entire life.” But Spears isn’t deterred, explaining that “I prefer to be honest. I think that’s the best way to go,” adding that, “I wouldn’t want to be told something and then waste seven years of my life. I feel like it’s the thing to do.”
