Obama Signing LawA new poll finds President Obama ahead of Mitt Romney by 5% in the key state of Ohio.

The survey, from Public Policy Polling, finds President Obama with 50% of the vote, followed by Romney with 45%. PPP says that this is the biggest lead Obama has had in Ohio in their polling since May.

This poll is just the latest, in addition to national polls from Gallup, Rasmussen and Reuters/Ipsos showing positive momentum for President Obama nationally and in swing states.

The path to the needed 270 electoral votes without Ohio is nearly impossible for Romney to achieve.
