According to the American people, Mitt Romney’s convention acceptance speech was kind of a dud.
A new Gallup poll shows that only 38% of people asked found Romney’s speech either “excellent” or “good.” The last time a convention speech polled so poorly was for Bob Dole’s losing presidential bid in 1996.
Romney’s speech was attacked for its lack of details by the conservative Wall Street Journal and other political observers.
A recent video compilation of speeches at the Republican convention scrubbed Clint Eastwood’s odd presentation that happened before Romney’s speech.
Obama’s 2008 acceptance speech was rated highly by 58% of viewers.
