David A. Kappheim: Man Obsessed With Fox News, Tried To Murder “Liberal” Girlfriend

David A. Kappheim, a Florida man who police say was obsessed with the conservative Fox News Channel, was arrested after saying he needed to kill his “liberal” girlfriend.

Kappheim, of Lake Park, FL, is being held on charges of of domestic battery, aggravated assault and criminal mischief. The arrest report says Kappheim tried to strangle the woman, and told police “he felt that he was going to have to kill her” and that “he was very conservative and (she) was a liberal.”

In his apartment, police found documents detailing Kappheim’s obsession with Fox News and the Republican Party. Officials say that the man is a danger to himself and others.
