Obama: Anne Hathaway “The Best Thing” In Dark Knight Rises

Appearing at a fundraiser at the home of superproducer Harvey Weinstein, President Obama had high praise for Dark Knight Rises actress Anne Hathaway.

Speaking in Weinstein’s Westport, Connecticut home the President explained to the celebrity audience: “She’s spectacular. I got a chance to see ‘Batman,; and she was the best thing in it. That’s just my personal opinion.”

Hathaway is helping to host the star-studded fundraiser for the president’s re-election.

Obama had praise for writer Aaron Sorkin as well, saying that the Newsroom creator “writes the way every Democrat in Washington wished they spoke.”
