Romney Tax Plan Raises Middle Class Taxes

Mitt Romney’s tax plan would cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy, but raise them for most Americans according to a new non-partisan analysis.

The Brookings Institution and the Tax Policy Center, previously described by the Romney campaign as “objective,” released its bombshell findings yesterday. At a campaign stop yesterday, President Obama noted that under Romney’s plan, “The average middle-class family with children would be hit with a tax increase of more than $2,000.”

Romney’s campaign disputes the study’s findings but has refused to release a detailed proposal to rebut the claims.
