Romney Adviser: Obama’s Racial Background Hurts US-British Relationship

A Romney adviser reportedly told a newspaper that Obama’s racial background is an obstacle to a strong relationship with the British.

The anonymous adviser, speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, said that Romney is “part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage,” while Obama’s White House “didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have.”

Romney’s national campaign co-chairman, John Sununu, recently claimed that Obama needs to “learn how to be an American.”
