Pile Of MoneyOccupy Wall Street may have found an unusual ally: wealthy women.

A new poll from Spectrem Group finds that 40% of wealthy women — those with assets over $100,000 — agree with the idea that “inequality is a problem and that the wealthy don’t pay their fair share.”

Wealthy men were less likely to agree, with only 20% sympathizing with the sentiment.

Wealth inequality has risen as an issue in America, with the left pushing for higher taxes on the super rich.

Conservatives, like Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, have insisted that inequality is an overblown issue. They have also pushed for even lower taxes for the super rich, despite the impact on the national deficit.
