Porn Stars Bibi Jones, Riley Steele, Remy LaCroix Quit Industry

Three popular pornstars have quit the adult business.

On Tuesday, Digital Playground performer Bibi Jones (real name: Britney Maclin) announced in a YouTube video that she was quitting porn. Jones said, “I’ve been extremely unhappy the last couple months.” She went on to note that her work in the industry “hurts my family a lot.”

Jones went on to say that, “I was promised a lot of things whenever I got in the industry. I was so excited, I was so happy. But nothing’s happened, and I can’t do it anymore. I don’t want to let down anyone. And I’m sorry if I’m making this very dramatic because I wasn’t in the industry for very long at all but I’m only 20 years old and the earlier I get out of this industry the better it’s going to be.”

Riley Steele (real name: Brittni Anne Palmer) followed in Jones’ footsteps on Wednesday, announcing her retirement from porn.

Steele, who also works with Digital Playground, said in a video posted online that “I just wanted to post an audio stating that i am quitting porn. I am not going to be do anything else. I, as well as BiBi Jones, have been promised a lot of things and i have not been owned up to anything. I am so sorry to all my fans and … I have to just let this go.”

In June, performer Remy LaCroix announced that she was leaving porn.

LaCroix blogged: “I’m gracefully backing out of porn. There’s a multitude of reasons to give now, but the bottom line is that it just doesn’t feel right anymore … physically, mentally, or emotionally.”

The industry is currently under fire in the city of Los Angeles, where a measure calling for mandatory condom usage will soon come up for a vote.
