Marissa Mayer, announced today as the new CEO of Yahoo!, is pregnant. Mayer tells Fortune that her child, a boy, is due on October 7.
Mayer, previously a top executive at Google, is credited with being one of the driving forces behind the top search engine’s simple look and feel. The announcement of her new job at Yahoo! came as a surprise to the business and technology media.
