Mermaid Body Found Rumor Swirls Online

Web users are searching like mad for evidence of a found mermaid body.

It isn’t real. The searches were prompted by an Animal Planet program called “Mermaids: The Body Found,” that aired on Sunday night.

In fact, an actor was used on the program to pose as the man who found a mermaid body, and the show has been debunked.

NOAA released a document explaining that mermaids are not real, and one has never been found.
