Playboy Cover Model Jenny McCarthy’s Dead Baby Controversy

Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy is on the cover of the men’s magazine for the sixth time, but a series of child deaths haunts her return.

While she isn’t taking of her clothes for Playboy or smooching random men on a New Year’s broadcast, Jenny McCarthy has been a tireless advocate for the anti-vaccine movement. Thanks in large part to McCarthy’s activism, people have been refusing to vaccinate their children out of fear out autism. This behavior has led to children dying when they didn’t have to.

McCarthy is a friend and advocate of British doctor Andrew Wakefield. Wakefield’s initial study in the medical journal The Lancet was one of the first major works that claimed that there was a link between vaccinating children and autism. Eventually, however, the journal retracted Wakefield’s study, while it was revealed that Wakefield had investments tied to the study and had manipulated the data.

This didn’t stop McCarthy. Despite all the evidence of Wakefield’s lies, she continued to back him and made a public statement in his defense.

But children are dying, thanks to the non-existent link (as verified by the Centers for Disease Control) between autism and vaccination that McCarthy continues to promote.

Outbreaks of whooping cough are occurring again, in some states like Washington the rate of the disease has increased tenfold.

One website, Jenny McCarthy Body Count, estimates that since the pin-up began promoting quack science there have been 895 deaths that could have been prevented by vaccine — most of them children.

It remains to be seen if McCarthy will take the renewed interest from her new nude layout to apologize for the lives lost thanks to her ill-informed punditry.
