Romney Has Same $55,000 Car Elevator As Britney Spears

You wouldn’t think there would be much in common between Mitt Romney and Britney Spears, but there is: Car elevators.

US Weekly reports that Mitt Romney and Britney Spears purchased their luxury car elevators from the same company. American Custom Lifts built the $55,000 “Phantom Park” car elevator installed in Britney’s old home in Calabasas, CA and they made the one in Romney’s $12 million mansion in La Jolla.

Romney has hired a lobbyist whose job it is to secure permits for a planned expansion to the mega-mansion. The La Jolla address is just one of several homes owned by Romney.

Romney favors continued tax cuts for Americans wealthy like him (he is worth an estimated $250 million). President Obama supports the expiration of tax cuts for the top 1% of earners.
