Democrats Set To Introduce Robin Hood Tax Bill In Congress
Two Democrats, one in the House and one in the Senate, are set to introduce versions of a “Robin Hood Tax” that could solve many of America’s biggest problems.
Sen. Tom Harkin
A report indicates that Sen. Tom Harkin (IA) and Rep. Peter DeFazio (OR) will introduce the legislation, which would impose a small charge on high volume commodities trading. The money from those trades could be used to fight the deficit and shore up services for middle class and low income voters.
A grassroots campaign is currently underway to raise public support for the Robin Hood Tax.
