Romney Insider: Palin “Poisoned The Well” For Female VP Nominee

According to a Romney confidante, the campaign will not pick a female running mate… and it’s all Sarah Palin’s fault.

Speaking to NBC News, an “informal Romney adviser” told the network that the Massachusetts millionaire’s braintrust feels that a woman running mate would draw unfavorable comparisons to Sarah Palin.

The insider told NBC that, “I think unfortunately, Palin poisoned the well on that.”

Sarah Palin, currently employed as a Fox News contributor, was a walking disaster on the 2008 Republican ticket. In addition to running up clothing costs and alleging that Barack Obama was “palling around” with terrorists, Palin demonstrated a considerable lack of knowledge and awareness of the modern world that many believe dragged down John McCain’s support.
