Russia is playing a dangerous game in the Middle East.

Pantsir-S1
The New York Times reports that Rosoboronexport, Russia’s chief arms exporter, claims that they are sending defensive missiles to the rogue Syrian government.
Anatoly P. Isaykin, the company’s general director said: “I would like to say these mechanisms are really a good means of defense, a reliable defense against attacks from the air or sea.”
Isaykin makes reference to the Pantsir-S1 missile/artillery system and Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missiles.
Russia has repeatedly been criticized for selling arms to Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad. In recent days al-Assad has been accused by resistance fighters of ordering brutal crackdowns that have murdered innocent citizens, including children.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently slammed Russia for selling arms to the rogue nation.
