Documents produced by Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign contain a huge lie about President Obama’s energy policy.

Earth
As the Washington Post reported, Romney’s “Believe In America” campaign brochure claims that ozone regulations proposed by the Obama administration would kill 7.3 million jobs. As the Post notes, that would be “more than all of the Americans who are now working for makers of apparel, automobiles, airplanes, machinery, paper, plastics and rubber, rail cars, beverages and cigarettes, and food and livestock products, as well as those working in mining or oil and gas extraction.”
Even more dishonestly, the Obama administration has already shelved those proposed rules — way back in September of 2011. The Romney campaign’s website still untruthfully claims that the Obama administration is pursuing energy regulations that would kill “millions” of jobs.
