British Business Begs For End To Austerity

British business executives want their country to quit pushing economy-killing austerity measures. According to a new survey of top CEOs, 75% of respondents did not see any growth potential in austerity. Many of these executives favored major cuts just a few years ago.
The British economy has suffered negative GDP growth and is in a double-dip recession after implementing austerity measures that often affected social programs for the poor and middle class.
Other European countries under austerity have seen their economies sputter as well, in contrast to the growth seen in America as a result of the 2009 economic stimulus package.
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has endorsed several austerity measures similar to those that have caused trouble in Europe.
