Shannon Cardinal: Teacher Accused Of Sex With Student While Toddler Present

Shannon Cardinal, a 43 year old teacher from Oakfield, Wiconsin, is accused of having sex with a 17 year old student. Cardinal taught at Mayville High School.

Prosecutors claim that the teacher had her 2 year old toddler present in the home while she had sex with the teen.

The criminal complaint says that Cardinal began eating lunch with one of the students in her Spanish class. The relationship evolved into text messages and a friendship before descending into sex.

Cardinal is on paid administrative leave from her school.
