“Hunger Games” Tickets Sell Out As America Goes Mad For Movie

Right about now the hottest item in your neighborhood is probably tickets to see the Hunger Games movie. According to ticket seller Fandango, passes to see Jennifer Lawrence star in the hit adaptation were selling at a rate of 10 tickets per second on Thursday.

The company said it had sold out over 2,500 screenings of the film, which some projections say may surpass the hit Twilight series. Other reports indicate that theaters are scrambling to add additional showings of the film in order to meet demand.
