Teacher James Hooker Began Affair With Student Jordan Powers After 18th Birthday

California mom Tammie Powers thinks that Modesto high school teacher James Hooker groomed her daughter for an eventual sexual affair before she turned 18. Hooker recently quit his job and left his wife and children in order to move in with the teenager, Jordan Powers.

Tammie Powers says there was a flood of text messages and phone calls between the teacher and student in the days after she turned 18. The mother also says she has evidence they were corresponding before the student was legally adult and that the teacher has comitted a crime.

Hooker told a newspaper that he was under investigation by police, but claimed that he had no physical contact with his student while she was a minor.
