A Hollywood-based music agent had her phone hacked by Rupert Murdoch’s News Of The World, according to a report by Deadline.com. The entertainment industry blog reports that music agent Julie Colbert of WME had her cellphone calls were intercepted because she did work for singer Charlotte Church.

Reporter Nikki Finke says a source explains that Colbert was told “Your number came up as one of the ones that was hacked.”

Charlotte Church has testified as a phone hacking victim to the ongoing Leveson inquiry in the British parliament.

Over the last year it has been revealed that News Corp. hacked into the phones of many celebrities, athletes and politicians in order to funnel news scoops to at least one of the media giant’s newspapers. The News of the World was shut down as a result, though this Sunday the company will launch The Sun On Sunday tabloid.

Numerous News Corp. employees and police have been arrested as part of the phone hacking scandal.
