Santorum Compares Obama To Hitler
In comments Sunday night, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum compared President Obama to genocidal dictator Adolph Hitler.
Speaking at a church in Cumming, Georgia on Sunday night, Santorum said: “We’re a hopeful people. We think, ‘Well, you know, it’ll get better. Yeah, he’s a nice guy. I mean, it won’t be near as bad as what we think. This will be okay. I mean, yeah, maybe he’s not the best guy after a while, after a while you find out some things about this guy over in Europe who’s not so good of a guy after all … It’ll be harder for this generation to figure it out. There’s no cataclysmic event.”
As he has gained on Mitt Romney in the polls, Santorum has made several off the wall comments.
Santorum claimed that prenatal care could lead to abortions. Santorum attacked President Obama’s faith by claiming he believed “some phony theology. Not a theology based on the Bible. A different theology.”
Leaders of the Republican establishment have said Santorum’s extreme political beliefs would lead to political disaster for the party in the fall.
