Destinie Mogg-Barkalow: Student Journalist Punched Over Pro-Gay Marriage Op-Ed

Prop 8 Op-EdDestinie Mogg-Barkalow, a student journalist at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts was reportedly punched in the face in response to an op-ed supporting gay marriage rights.

Mogg-Barkalow told campus police that after a man and woman approached her and asked about her writing, she was punched in the face by the woman, leaving a bruise. Police have created a sketch of the assailants.

The university plans a rally in support of the student journalist on Tuesday.
