Susan Rice, United States ambassador to the United Nations, did not mince words after China and Russia exercised vetoes in the UN Security Council against a condemnation of Syria’s Bashar al Assad.
Rice said, “The United States is disgusted that a couple of members of this Council continue to prevent us from fulfilling our sole purpose.”
The United Nations was debating a measure to call for an immediate end to violence in Syria, in response to the armed cracked down on Syrian citizens by Assad’s regime. Russia profits from Syrian violence as it sells arms to the rogue regime. “Any further blood that flows will be on their hands,” said Rice. [ABC]
