The U.S. Army has approved a court martial for PFC Bradley Manning, the man accused of leaking classified military documents to Wikileaks.

Maj. Gen. Michael Linnington of the Military District of Washington made the final recommendation for the proceedings to go ahead.

Manning is accused of illegally distributing documents related to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as classified state department cables.

Manning could face life imprisonment if convicted. [ABC]
