Santorum Conspiracy: Obama Pushing College In Brainwashing Campaign

Apparently desperate to boost his deflating Presidential campaign, former Sen. Rick Santorum pushed a conspiracy theory today claiming that President Obama’s initiative to send more Americans to college was a ploy to brainwash the young.

Santorum, who has compared homosexuality to bestiality, told CBS News that “the indoctrination that occurs in American universities is one of the keys to the left holding and maintaining power in America” and that “it’s no wonder President Obama wants every kid go to go college.”

Santorum has tumbled in the polls after winning the Iowa caucuses, barely registering in the recent conservative-leaning primary in South Carolina.

The right-wing blog Redstate recently urged Santorum to quit the race, describing his attempt to win the nomination as futile.
