Muslim Community Aids In Bust Of Alleged Terrorist Sami Osmakac (PHOTO)

Sami Osmakac, a 25 year old Yugoslavian turned American citizen, was arrested by federal authorities for plotting terrorist bombings in sympathy with Al Qaeda. Osmakac was charged in connection with a plot to use a vehicle bomb against sites in Tampa, Florida.

Authorities had been monitoring Osmakac, who they say paid an undercover agent for AK-47s, grenades, and more. He also told the agent about his plans to detonate a car bomb. U.S. Attorney Robert O’Neill thanked “the Muslim community” for their help in the investigation. [Politico]
