Rick Perry Effectively Drops Out Of 2012 Campaign

After coming in a disappointing fifth in the Iowa caucuses, Texas governor Rick Perry effectively ended his campaign.
In remarks to supporters, Perry indicated that his campaign would return to his home state and “reassess” itself going forward. Perry was initially touted as a strong choice for an anti-Romney candidate, but stumbled badly in several debates and quickly tumbled in the polls.
