Zohydro: Experts Worry Super-Painkiller Could Create New Addicts

Man Fighting With WomanAddiction experts are worried about the coming introduction of new painkiller Zohydro and other drugs like it.

Zohydro contains pure hydrocodone, which is also found in OxyContin. OxyContin has found widespread use by drug addicts and was the drug radio host Rush Limbaugh was arrested for purchasing with fake prescriptions.

Pharmaceutical companies say that patients in pain need the new drugs, but addiction experts say the widespread availability of hydrocodone could create a drug addiction nightmare. [AP]
