A 2002 video of Mitt Romney has been revealed showing him distancing himself from the Republican party.
In the clip taken from a Democratic ad, Romney says, “The R doesn’t stand for Republican as much as it does reform,” “”I’m not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.”
In what is likely to be a burden on his 2012 campaign for the Republican nomination, Romney says, “It’s always a burden for someone to run with R for Republican after their name.”
