Romney Super PAC Uses Ad Firms Connected To Willie Horton, Swift Boat Ad Campaigns

The Restore Our Future, Inc. Super PAC, who supports Mitt Romney in the Republican primaries, is paying the same ad firms that created the racist Willie Horton ad in 1988. The PAC also uses the services of a firm that received $18 million to buy advertising spots for the false Swift Boat Veterans for The Truth ads that attacked John Kerry in 2004.

According to the Center For Public Integrity, McCarthy Hennings Media, Inc. received $44,666 from Restore Our Future. McCarthy Hennings created the Willie Horton ad in 1988. The PAC paid Mentzer Media Services $782,052 — they bought ad time for the Swift Boat ads that had a huge impact in 2004.
