Cain Suspending Presidential Campaign Amid Scandal

Herman Cain announced today that he is “suspending” his troubled presidential campaign. Cain, who has been dogged by allegations of sexual impropriety and incompetence, made the announcement at his campaign office in Georgia. Cain attacked the media and announced a “plan b” which involved a website he would use to promote conservative principles.

In response to Cain’s announcement, Newt Gingrich said, “I am proud to know Herman Cain and consider him a friend and I know he will continue to be a powerful voice for years to come.”

Jon Huntsman said, Cain added a “unique and valuable voice to the debate”
