GOP Causes Super Committee To Collapse Over Taxes On Rich

The Super Committee in congress today announced that they were unable to come to agreement. The talks in the deficit reduction committee came to an impasse largely over GOP refusal to increase taxes on the top 1% of earners. Democrats had offered reductions in entitlement spending, while Republicans formed a solid wall of support in favor of no tax increases.
