Amanda Knox Appeal Verdict: Acquitted

An acquittal has been issued in Amanda Knox’s appeal of her murder conviction in Italy. Knox had been convicted of the murder of her roomate Meredith Kercher in a sensational murder trial where she became known as “Foxy Knoxy.”

DNA evidence later came into dispute, as it was described as “flawed” by those defending Knox.

Knox was ordered immediately released by the judge.
