A new study says that fast paced cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants could harm the brains of children. According to the study by Angeline Lillard, published in the journal Pediatrics, when compared to slower-paced programs children who watched Spongebob performed half as well. The author suggests that fast paced programs could over-stimulate the brain, causing disruption in the ability to concentrate. [Bloomberg]
