Scientists: Gold On Earth Came From Space
Scientists at the University of Bristol say that the gold found on earth was actually delivered to us by meteorites. In the study, to be published in Nature, scientists found that the crust and mantle have more gold than deeper layers of the earth.
They found that there was a moment of “terminal bombardment” 4.5 billion years ago that delivered gold to earth. [BBC]
